Finally boosting the z

Thanks for the kind words, the shop actually just finished the build yesterday. Of course thats after 4 months of waiting, I am going to test drive the car on monday and then they are going to do a last once over and then I get my z back![/QUOTE]
That's not bad mine with the custom pistons and all took just a bit over 4 months so that's good!!
My wife's 240sx took over 4 years to build with everything that was done so chin up. Send pics when it's all done

Well, just an update. Its been months and my z still hasnt come back, we went to go look at the car recently, got there and it was sitting on a lift looking exactly the same as it did when I last visited. Ill post the picture in a bit but basically my z has wasted away in a shop for like half a year with nothing to show for it yet. I asked when it would finally be done "2 weeks from today", not the first time the shop owner has told me that. The shops name is savage street cars now since the shop split, they are a good shop and do good work just they take their time. Its been gone for so long Ive gotten a motorcycle license, two bikes and a daily all in the meantime.

I wouldn't be paying if it took that long

The shop owner was, was is the keyword, a friend of my dads coworker whose had many cars built there. However at this point we decided to give them 2 more weeks, if its not done at those two weeks I am getting my z, built motor and trans, and all the other parts we ordered. Plus our money for labor. After we get these things back its off to jtran tuning in Houston, who specializes in nissans.

Well I guess its just time to admit that I was wrong and should have taken it to another shop. So far we are 15k and over a year in the hole with literally nothing to show for it and very little progress is being made. We payed extra to have my car finished before my 17th birthday, and now I turn 18 this Friday and still no car. We have given the shop owner so many chances and so many deadline extensions that he has until tomorrow night to have my car finished, not that it will happen. In the off chance he finishes the car I will enjoy it in the limited time I have left before I ship to bootcamp, but realistically it wont be done and we are going to make a claim and our get our money and shell back and just buy a new car. Thanks everyone for the advice along the way but it looks like this build is 100 percent dead.
