Should matter a little bit in your numbers. Not much. Youd probably have seen a higher number if you put it in 5th.

You almost made me spit out my drink with that OP....

I was just cruising through, then saw the dyno numbers and was like holy Fck, those are some monster cams putting out those numbers.

Then I saw the whip haha

Gotcha, I just figured 1:1 would help your power.

I imagine it would if you picked a set load and ran it. The Mainline dyno applies whatever load is necessary to make your run time a certain length which would compensate for differences in gear ratios.

Motor itself is run of the mill sleeves, rods, pistons, ported heads and cams

Gear multiplication is less efficient than a 1:1 gear drive, is what I am referring to. You would achieve less losses through the transmission causing a slightly higher readout.

I'll have to play around with it and see.

Did you end up having Darton install the sleeve's or the original manufacturer? I'm thinking sleeves for a long term build, just somewhat worried about the other stories about the sinking when not properly installed.

ERL built the shortblock back then but they no longer work with the VQ platform unfortunately.

Love the way you used small diameter Tubing for the front support, nice job.

Great build from so many aspects. Kudos.

I am curious why the smaller housings did not move the curve further to the left. Could it be the length of the manifolds or purely a function of turbo wheel weight? I am thinking if you do not have an EBC, then you are not taking advantage of allowing the EWG to see open air up until the EBC decides to show it boost. If that is true, I think you will see significant improvement to spool up with better regulation of the wastegates.

Still no problem breathing up top! Very impressive.

I currently donet have an EBC so that might help some. They do spool about 500rpm faster with the smaller housings. I can overlay some boost curves from my datalogs

Yeah like RC said, the dedication and quality of your workmanship is top notch. You did a great job, hope that car continues to run strong and keeps you happy!
