Last night the car started up on its own on the first try, no issues with idle or odd noises. However there is a massive oil leak oozing from the passenger side around either the rear side valve cover or head gasket area. The shop guys are going to access the issue and fix where the leak is at this morning. Other than that this is all that is left to take the car home. I am hoping the oil leak is not a serious issue.

Car will be available tonight, they are replacing my serpentine belt and fixing my Intercooler bracket. Oil leaking issue was resolved, thank God
Can't really say much about them now as I've only heard the car on idle but compared to the stock exhaust manifold+ Crawfords HFCs I was using, the exhaust note is more raw sounding and throaty. I will really see the performance difference it makes after the motor is broken in and I start gradually laying in the boost.

Car is now back home. It's dark so I will snap photos tomorrow. I Want to thank Hi Psi Performance in Hawker Heights TX for the great work.
Clutch was a little bit stiff however it was manageable driving home. I'll review more on it later after its broken in.

Hi and thanks! I believe they said the rear part of the valve cover was pinching something near the firewall and it was enough to cause oil to seep by. Not sure what was in between the valve cover and the head but it's fixed now. No leaks at all.

I would check your drivers side PVC valve and hose or head gasket ( sometimes unsurfaced heads may cause uneven seal on block with new gaskets ), maybe even the can sensor port in the back. Besides the valve cover you checked, Those are just things on the top of my head I would look around that see or may see oil contact. Hope this helps.

I've put about 170 miles on the car soo far, both on highway and city driving. No issues with leaks or anything. I've noticed more low-end from constant stop and go but I am not sure if this is just a placebo effect on having installed the new Hi comp shortblock. The longtubes are loud lol. Ive only revved to 5k twice but it definitely sounds soo aggressive running them along with the Motordyne TDX.
The Competition Cluch is not that bad actually. Its not that stiff, maybe 35-40% more. Stock engagement on the clutch is about halfway, so using that as a gauge to where this clutch starts to grab is about half that. It already grabs quick and hard and I ended up studdering the Z from moving at a stop by not giving enough gas like I would an oem clutch. Besides that the clutch seems like it was a good choice for my needs, I will really know how well it holds once I start getting into boost after 500 miles.

^Good to hear. I'm thinking you should feel a bit of an increase when not in boost due to the higher compression pistons. I'm interested in knowing how the 928 impeller does. Going with anyone other than Vortech seems to be a coin flip. My SC is currently at Vortech for a refresh. I too was thinking about going with the impeller from 928 but when I asked Vortech if they were familiar with it they said "yes, we fix their work all the time"...but they also don't have plans for any type of billet impeller for our volute...just the SI upgrade, but that's good for around 2psi. I wonder if you'll get more than that with your 928.

That's what I was thinking as well, and even more power output under boost with the added squeeze, as long as my octane is in par with the amount of boost I'm using. I will find out upon tuning the car. I am going to be retuned by my shop at the end of the month. Not expecting too big of numbers right now, I'm sure I will make about 500whp at the stock redline with 93+ Straight Meth Injection. That's all I would really need for now and I don't plan to buy a bigger trim anytime soon. Once I get a fuel return system i plan of revving to 7100 like OldmanZ350.
Yea I gained about 2 psi using the 928 Impeller, but I also did their Vortech Super rebuild with better seals and bearings that can support overspinning the blower to 60k and even up to 70k, so if I want more power I can drop down to a 2.87 and rev higher.
Good luck to you man post up some pics and your dyno when you get everything buttoned up and tuned!

Morning, yea still breaking her in, I'm almost at 330 miles driven. Clutch feels better as well and car still running on its own power with no issues. I want to tune the car by the end of this month or early next month. I'll be sure to keep everyone posted and make a video.

Called Hi Psi Performance again and scheduled a retune on the 30th, this tune will be on my 93 octane + Meth Injection with 100% Methanol mixture. The type of dyno they use is a Dynocom. Not too familiar with this brand but will read up on how it compares to Dynojet and others in terms of accuracy.
