Which of theses three Percision turbos can achieve 600-650 whp on 93 pump?
Which would have the quickest spool up? Finally, Which turbo and what AR housing would be needed to achieve fastest spool and 600-650 whp? I am planning on upgrading my powerlab setup from the gt35r with 1.06ar. t3 to a t4 turbo and push it another 100whp but want to have a quick spool similar to my current gt35r. I have an built motor from injected but I dont think it could handle more than low 600's whp so the turbo would not need room for growth down the road but it should be able to spool quick, long torque curve with max power around 600-650 reving the motor to 7500 - 8000 rpms. Thanks

Well your kind of asking the magical question.
Bigger turbo usually = more power, but in turn takes longer to spool.
More power = bigger turbo, faster spool = smaller turbo generally speaking.
So you have to determine what the sweet spot for your build is. Or just get the biggest turbo and forget about spool, or take a chance with a smaller one if you want a fast spool and hope it can supply your power goals.
Have you even looked into SC's?
I think that might be up your ally. No spool required
But Im in the same boat, either 35r or 6266 for my 400WHP build, but still have the availability to go to 550+ range. If I ever decide I want to go into debt and the head aches for the rest of my life lol

The only problem with a supercharger is, you have to wind out the motor to make your power, and you NEVER have the torque with a supercharger you will with a turbo.
Also boost on a blower usally doesn't start untill 2500-3000 depending on pulleys. Even then its 1-4psi also depending on pulleys.
Personally get I would get a turbo company or boosted Performance and ask them about turbos.

Yea, which is why I am leaning towards turbo my self. Just threw it out there if "spooling" was a major concern.
Maybe even look into a anti lag or scroll set up if your bawls out serious.
Not sure how practical those would be for a street car tho. But would be about the answer to OP's question. No lag and probably meet his power goals.

I have a powerlab kit with gt35r and have not been able to get past 525 on pump. Air flow through the hotside of the turbo is the limiting factor. I could reach my goal with e85 but it will cost me 2/3 the amount that a new turbo and tune would so rather have a new turbo and stay with 93 octane. I could sell the used turbo and recoup some of the cost of the upgrade and not have the added expense of having to used e85.
BTW 6466cea spools as fast as others and you can get way more than 600whp
Also I would look into borg Warner s366 t bey are like 900 already with the housing of your choice, but thats just me

Isnt it cheaper to switch to a bigger housing? I have tial 1.06ar on my powerlab gt35rand it it doesnt restrict it like. 82ar

I already have the 1.03 t3 housing for the gt35r. I bought the powerlab kit about 1 year after it's release and the gt35r was the only option that it came with. I have had the car for about 7 years, 15,000 miles on built engine, with the current setup and am looking to push the power up but not go crazy due to the fact that my motor was built with a 600-650 whp in mind. Since I did my build, Powerlab has added the ability to use a bigger turbo with these kit. I can buy the two new pipes to accommondate a larger turbo separately and go bigger but I know I will never purchase another engine just to handle more power past the limit of my current setup. Therefore , I am trying to find the "sweet spot" between spool and my power goal. Believe me I have played with the gt35r and there is no more power to be had for my setup unless I turn to an alternative fuel. PS: My local tuner has a Dyno Dynamics dyno so it does read lower than a Dynojet. How much I do not know.
I cut hotside inlet and DP and switched 4 bolt flanges to VBAND along with tial ss housing
You might aswell look into borg Warner s366 instead of precision turbo

I spoke with Intense about a 1-2 months ago and they carry the vband pipes; the hot side in and first section of downpipe has to be replaced. The two sections wee not that costly but I don't remember the price that was quoted. I don't know if they carry a t4 mount but I can get that fab locally if needed. Also, I think there is an extension welded on the inlet side of the turbo housing. I would like to see a dyno with the 6266 turbo if anyone has one.
