Default Greddy TT, Drilled Out PCV, P0507

Hi guys,

Before and after my tune I had P0507. I obviously checked for vacuum leaks, pre and post maf. No luck... My idle has been at 1050 for months now. If I perform the relearn it idles where it should until the car is turned off. At the next startup whether it is right away or the next day the idle is high again... Steady, but high.

I also swapped the TB and performed the relearn after. I do ECU resets and idle relearns religiously, really. I purchased a smoke test machine and found some small leaks but repairing those did not seem to help. It just seems to forget the relearn as soon as it turn the car off.

Have any of you experienced this problem? AFR correction stays between 97 and 100 on both banks. AFR's fluctuate from 14.7 to 15.1 at idle. All seems well... Power is there too...

Smoke tested today and did another reset/relearn. Fuel trim is at 85% so I think I repaired some leaks that were there during tuning. I'm going to contactmy tuner. It can't idle at the setpoint without having trouble hitting the target aftr. After the idle bumps up to 1050 the afrs stabilize but fuel is still being pulled. Does this sound about right to any of you guys who have experience?

Have you looked up what a P0507 is yet?

Come on phunk, you can throw P0507 into google, can't you? lol.

The problem persists after a re-tune to bring the fuel trims back to the 95-105 range. I'd just like to reiterate that the guys at RT tuning do this day in and day out, they performed their pre-dyno tune check on my car like any other and it passed. After smoke testing myself multiple times (because they told me it was probably vac leaks)I can safely say there is not one single leak from the greddy filters to the cylinders themselves.

I went and cleaned my grounds for the TB, cleaned the tb again for good measure, cleaned the terminals on it and the connector, then tried to unplug the battery for the first time in a very long time to do a hard reset versus the pedal reset then relearn. No luck, same deal. It idled fine after the relearn until I turned the car off. Then the idle worked its way back up and P0507 came back.

Somebody here definitely has dealt with this problem before. All of my searching ended with guys going to the dealer to have the idle relearned using the consult system. But really, is that necessary if we have the pedal procedure?

When my TB got messed up I had idle issues. I did the pedal dance multiple times, no luck. I had a friend at a Subaru dealer use their scanner to see if that had more power than the pedal procedure. Still no luck. Only thing that ever solved it was taking it to nissan and telling them to do the relearn procedure.

Darnit Craig I didn't want to hear that news. lol. Thank you for the input.

Did you have the same issue I have? Idles fine after relearn, can drive it all day just don't turn it off or it will lose it?

Mine wasn't that well defined. I could relearn and it would be ok for a couple days. Sometimes when I relearned the idle it would lower the idle a little but wouldn't be exactly where it should've been still. Mine wasn't as consistent

Ah alright. How much did they charge you? They see my car and basically poop themselves most of the time. The techs love it. Managers, not so much.

My car is very similar when I take it in. I tell them that they need to do the relearn for the throttle body. They try to push the "we can check it first for a fee and make sure that's the issue" otherwise when they do the relearn if it doesn't work I'm SOL. I told them not to do anything but the relearn and that's what they did. I don't remember exactly amount but somewhere like $90-100

Thanks man. After I get this next ROM I'll take her in. I was hoping for $20 but could be worse. Better to know ahead of time ha.
