troubleshoot

im trying to help out a buddy. he has a g35 2006. he called me for help, since i have a 350z. but im at work, so i cant take a look at my car.

he said there is a pump or the like, on the drivers side under the hood. it is electrical, and is running constantly. it kills his battery over night. he figures it is something for his brakes. as their is 4 lines coming out of it.

i am going to look at it tonight. but i thought i would see if i could get some leads before i get home. i cant find any good underhood pics online, so i can at least see what pump it is.

by the description of the problem, im thinking there might be a stuck relay. i know its a vague description, but it never hurts to ask. so maybe somebody will know what he is talking about.

thanks

edit: im a mechanic by trade. im just relaying the little bit of info, i got from my buddy over the phone. so hopefully i wont get flamed too bad. fortunately for me, i havent had to do any underhood work on the Z yet. so im not very familiar with the placement of everything in there.

thanks alot. my guess, is that its something in that relay box. i cant see anything else, causing it to run constantly when the car is shut off??
