Please help out a G35 noob.
Alright, I've asked a million people this question and no one is 100% sure. I posted on G35driver (useless, I know) and nobody replies to the thread.
Will stock cats from an 06 350 fit an 03 G35 coupe? I'm about 50% sure they fit because I know for a fact that test pipes are swappable. I just want to be sure that the cats are the same so I don't end up buying Z cats for nothing. I will delete this thread once I get my answer. Thanks. |

They should fit 100%.
I don't see why they wouldn't since all after market HFC seem to be the same for the 03 G35 and 06 350Z

are you swapping your G35 cats for 350Z cats? ....cause there is no difference. OR, are your cats F'ed up?

could be....I was assuming that he he called himself a "G35 noob" that he just bought a G35 and wanted swap in Z cats......similar to the how G owners swap in "Z tubes" and "Z springs."

Its hard to help someone out when they ask a blanket question with no info on what is trying to be accomplished... that’s probably why he got miffed and posted the derogatory comments about Driver on this forum. He later explained that he doesn’t like the rasp from test pipes… Which is why I suggested always keeping OEM parts when modding… if he bought the car with test pipes, it makes the point of keeping OEM parts even stronger (so you can offer them to the buyer). Anyway – as a noob I guess he’ll determine on his own what to consider viable info and what to dismiss. |

They will fit but if you have to buy the parts anyway look into hiflow cats or resignated test pipes if the drone bothers you.
