Three VQ Home... '12 G37 Journey-Sport
#42
So I just finished installing the R2C intakes. Sorry no photos yet it's 10 till 11pm. None-the-less... Took it for a quick 5 mile drive and I'm happy. Defiantly feels torquier and it is louder. Really opened up the VQ37's engine and exhaust noise. Feels like the TCM is learning the faster rpms so it is a bit jerky as the trans can't figure out what gear to be in. However in paddle mode it pulls! All-in-all I'm happy.

Little update... I'm back in Iraq and the G is parked. Did have time to correct the CEL before returning. I'll be home soon though and get on it. Have to install the Swift springs as well.
With that said it tax season and I'm looking at wheels. As much as I really want another set of HREs I think I'm going to save some money since my son is due in May. What is everyone's thoughts on the new WORK Gnosis CV201? I'm digging them and PMed RavSpec for pricing.

All right ladies & Gentlemen!!!! Have confirmation on my tax return coming by the month. I'll be home in May and should be perfect timing for the wheels delivery (crossing fingers for luck.)
So here is what I'm going with...
Forgeline MD3P: Gunmetal Center, Polished Outer Rim/Lip & Gloss Black Inner Rim: 19x9.5 +40 & 19x10.5 +45
Have to give BIG THANKS to Tony @ Deviate Motoring for giving me a lot of good information on Forgeline Wheels. We were going back and forth with HREs or Forgelines.
I've spent countless hours viewing different set-ups and playing with the wheel/tire calculator. I think this will be perfect for the everyday driver without any concerns.

Wheels and tire on a perfectly good setup. Meehhhhh.....I would save that money towards stuff for the kid or a nice little gift for the wife for carrying your kid for 9 months. The tires and wheels on your 2012 are perfectly fine. It is more of a want than a need and coming up in few month a lot of needs are going to pop up along with some you did not expect. Put that tax money towards something you should be proud of as a DAD.
edit: Thank you for your service and I hope you are able to be with your wife during DELIEVERY OF YOUR BABY versus coming home to delivery of your wheels. Sorry for being a debby downer lolz.

Thank you for the service comment. I'm prior USAF and now a private contractor. I will be home for the birth of my child. That's a given.
Again I know you have good intent so please don't take this personally or hostile. I just don't share too much of my family business on a car forum.

Thanks for the advice. I'll worry about gifts for my wife. Sorry but discussing my wife pisses me off a little. I know you have good intent but you don't know myself or my family well enough, imo, to make such comments. My family is more than well enough taking care of. They receive only the best and always come first.
