Default Fuel Gauge Malfunction - G35 Sedan

Was wondering if anyone else here has had problems with the fuel gauge not reading correctly on a G35 sedan? It says it still has fuel when really the tank is empty. Does it need a new floater or what?

All help is appreciated, thanks guys!

Also, any ideas for what the best windshield repair would be without replacing the entire thing? There's a nice little nick in it that may get worse, and I wanna stop it before it gets worse. Thanks

When I bought my coupe it had that very weird issue of fluctuating about 1/4 tank in either direction. I would get home with about 1/4 tank and when I go to work in the morning it would read I was already out or vice versa. I thought the floater was getting stuck or just going bad. I used some fuel system cleaner for a few fill ups and it seemed to take care of the problem. I have no Idea how or why but its a very inexpensive place to start. Also just seen this was about 7 months old lol.
