cant wait to see the car running, i have stupid question...

when you complete the swap will you be able to use the car A/C and electronics? and what about ABS?

I am asking because i am very interested in swapping my infiniti M35 VQ35DE with VK56 but when i asked one mechanic he told me you will loose your ABS? and traction control!

I will be using osiris and a custom harness. The entire electric system communicates on can-bus. So it should all communicate. A/c will work if i hook it back up, which i plan to do.

So Doug and Zfever is the root of all my problems.

I was promised by Doug of Zfever on 4/11/16 that it was going to cost $900.00 and a 2 week turn around for my headers.

After sending an upfront $450.00 to get the ball rolling.
I was told that there was a G35 coming into his shop that was getting a vk56de swap also and that he could build me a set also. I said cool. The car took over 2 months to get there cause of "issues" which is fine. So 2 months would put us into June to start the headers. I had called him numerous times every month asking where they are and all he kept telling me was they were busy, or almost done, or they will be done this week. All these excuses over and over. I called mid December and Doug picked up the phone and attempted to pretend it wasn't him when I told him who I was. I proceed to tell "him" I want my headers. He tried to tell me they were busy and made it very clear I have been waiting for months and all he said was, I'll give Doug your message. I have also not had a return call yet. I also asked him to send me parts he claimed to have in stock at his shop and he couldn't be bothered to do this either.

He either is a liar trying to hold onto business or a poor mechanic and has no idea what time management is.

I can just file a claim with paypal if he does not want to refund. It is good sense to ask first before filling any claims.

Well that sucks....
Its ok i have a screen shot of the money being sent and it is in the account. Chase is usually very good about going after people. So hopefully they would do that.

I'd be blowing up their facebook/instagram/twitter etc... with questions and comments that you already paid 1/2 up front 8-9 months ago for a 2 week turn around part. Their facebook was active as of 7 hours ago.

haha funny thing about that.
I don't have a facebook/instagram/twitter account, so that makes it a little tricky to leave comments or peak on them. I spoke with him and he sent me pics or "progress" of my headers, so I gave him till this weekend to have them done. I will be calling on Monday to confirm, if not I will be cancelling and buying the little items left that I need like the 1 inch spacer and extended bolts to mount the plate, trigger wheel, and clutch, oh and internal slave. so I can at least mate the trans and motor and drop the set in to take somewhere else to have headers made. I found an offroad place here in CT with a sick set of contacts and spent an hour or so talking to the guy about people to do headers, driveshaft, and custom exhaust.

Ok so here is a small update.
I finally did all the solid bushing, or finally was able to........

I also reassembled the rear and was able to drop it back down of the jack stands it was sitting on for months. I also picked up a cheap godspeed exhaust for 250 from ebay as something for now while breaking the car in before modding the engine.

Ok, first real update to gettting this motor in the car. I am aiming for pocono's 26-27.

Ok so I finally got my headers after harassing Doug for months. While these headers started out decent looking the look like **** after the collectors, pieced together different sizes of pipe. I am not f**king happy. It took 1 year and the look iffy, but I finally have them. Oh not to mention the do not have v-bands like her promised, they do not have 3 inch collectors like her promised...... But I have them....

Finally

Also, he told me full length.... and low and behold I have flipping shorties....

Again, not happy, but I can move forward to driving it and have better made later.

So lets get to matting all the clutch bs and slave cylinder so I can mount them together and drop it all in.

Here is the flex plate and 1 inch spacer to match the adapter plate.

Fodenza flywheel, 1 inch spacer, stock flexplate, and 80mm studs

ACT 6 puck sprung flywheel

ACT heavy duty pressure plate

Tilton internal slave with "custom" bearing

I will be working on this all weekend.

STAY TUNED!!!!!!

I wonder if that Tipton slave is the same as the one sold by Z Speed? How much was it?

It was about 400 because the lines ends were re-done and remaked, according to Doug. and the throw out bearing it came with was scratched and the shaft was milled to accommodate a 68 mm throw out bearing.

matting the bellhousing alone and holding the bearing and slave on the forks and measure to where the mating surface would be yields .196 inch. Recommended is .170 to .250.

So it sits nice!!!

So,................. Zfever in their infinite wisdom pre-drilled the Tilton holes. Not a ****ing clue what the measured them with cause the were off center and 1/4 off. So after remeasuring and re-drilling. I finally have a throwout bearing.
