cat delete (test) pipes = white smoke?
is there any possible way that cat delete pipes (test pipes) could cause either (1) white smoke from the exhaust, or (2) the stock MAF to fail?? i've had major problems with white smoke from the exhaust recently but the dealer only replaced the MAF, which did NOT correct anything. still white smokes like crazy even though it passed a compression test and a leak-down test.
thanks guys!

Check your oil and make sure is not burning any. If you wanted to be sure about the test pipes, pull on off and see if the smoke is coming straight out of the header like that. If it is you might be like me and have a motor with a bad exhaust valve seal. My old motor was burning a quart of oil every 500 miles.
Mine was spewing white smoke at idle and into 1st and 2nd gear. Even with the stock cats back on it would do it, but not nearly as bad. Keep in mind that any new exhaust part will smoke a little bit when new but, shouldnt take more than a couple of days to burn off.

jdmph2b,
Is the white smoke heavy indicating that the engine MAY be burning oil or does it really show up after a bit of spirited driving? I get this as well after really getting on the throttle and gears. It's to be expected since your cats were essentially an incinerator for excess fuel and other by-products. Now that they're removed evrything is just being emitted directly out of the tailpipes.
