I'm using a pair of K&Ns on my 350Z VQ35HR SCCA racecar. They perform well and it's nice to have the option of cleaning them after a race. The dirt and grit that gets thrown up is pretty intense and the K&Ns do a good job of trapping all that before it reaches the engine.

Of corse the dirt is gonna look like it's staying on the filter, but if you put a filter after the K&N you'd be amazed at how much gets by!
A paper filter, especially in these type of conditions, is going to do many times better at stopping the dirt. If you don't beieve me, hold your K&N up to the light, and check out all the holes in it.
