Default Z1 HFC clearance issues and Leaks

Hi, I recently purchased some HFCs for my 08 HR 350z. Along with it I purchased a used bassani TD exhaust off the classifieds here. After struggling with the demon bolts for hours, I finally got the cats installed. The right one has very little clearance from the heat shield for the body, and the left one has absolutely none, it actually bent the heat shield into the body after some driving. The flanges that connect to the X pipe from the cats are also not seating right at all on the X pipe, there are gaps at the bottom, causing huge leaks, even with Z1's squishy gaskets in place. Does all this seem like a manufacturing error with the HFC's? Should I contact Z1 for a refund? It just doesnt seem right that the cat would Have that little clearance.
P.s. Not sure if it is relevant, but the flanges on the X pipe are a bit bigger than the flanges on the cats.

I would contact Z1. They have great customer service and I am sure will fix the problem. Did you by any chance buy DE HFCs instead of HR? Just thinking of what may have caused the issue. It could always have been a defective item.
