hardest thing I ever done on the Z
Well I will start off by saying i'm not very mechanically inclined as for as cars go. I knew very little about cars prior to getting my Z about a year and a half ago.
Well I finally got my Invidia test pipes in and was thinking about bring it to a local shop to get done. After reading this post https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exha...ation-diy.html I decided to just give it a shot. Well 5 hours later I finally got the damn thing off. Looks like I got into a fight with a cat as I have scratches and cuts everywhere but in the end I got it done. Definitely would never have attempted this or installing my coilovers or BBK without good info from this site so just want to thanks everyone who puts up those DIY and the people who contribute all the good info.
Heres a couple of picks of the old cats out and the new test pipes in, I installed the 02 sensors in after I took the pick. This is something I will never want to do again but was nice learning experience.

Amen to the bushing comment. I bought a full set of new arms and energy suspension bushing. This way I could do all the bushings prior to "racking" the car.

After installing my test pipes I got rasp from around 2000-2700ish rpm's and also a hissing sound on deceleration from around 2500-1700 rpm's. Did some research and read that people with Motordyne XYZ y-pipe with res is eliminating this issue. Just finished installing mine and WOW it really does, all the rasp is gone and there is no more hissing sound.
I would of never thought all that rasp and hissing were caused by my old y pipe.
