Hmm... when I twin turbo my z its been on my mind to do a true dual cat back though. Not sure what sizing to use though. 2x2.5" would volumetrically flow about the same as a 3" but would have more back pressure due to the increased internal surface area. 2x2.75" seems more ideal. 2x3" would only be necessary for making more than 800whp lol

I think mine is like 2 1/4 or 2 inch it flows noticeably better than stock. Where do you get your tubing from? I found ss pipe at summit racing and jegs... But it has mixed reviews.

If you didn't live so damn far away I would send you my borla pipes and you could use them as a guide... Its tight I think 3 inch duel would be a challenge.

I'm willing to bet that your borla is 2.5" for each tube. Once you see how little 2" tubing is it'll make perfect sense. As for my material supplier, there's a warehouse in town called Westbrook Metals. That's where I get my straight tubing. For the mandrel bends, I just find a "UJ" on the web somewhere and order it. And damn! Using your Borla to get started on a true dual would be one hell of a project. Too bad MA and TX aren't closer

How much does that little resonator actually do for the tone? I have a Megan Drift Spec 3" single, that I'm looking to tone down quite a bit. I'm assuming it just cuts some of the high frequency rasp down, but judging by the size its probably not alot..

I have a vibrant 3" ultra quiet resonator that I could put in, but If that little guy does a good job, I could put them both in? Along with some ART pipes, I feel it would make a big difference.

Great work btw.. I've been following this thread for quite awhile, and wish I had access to a good welder and a couple tanks of Argon. I worked with an old Lincoln TIG for a few years and got pretty good at it lol

Looks pretty good.
Need some WOT and flybys clips though.

I currently have the AAM single and been thinking about making a custom one as well.

The Muffler is just a regular GReddy RS 3"?

A-Town-Z,
the 12" resonator does pretty much what you mentioned. Quiet's most of the high frequencies and smoothes out the rasp. Decently noticeable difference in sound but slight difference in volume.

xxKURTMANxx,
I'm still planning to make a video to better show off the sound of it. And yes, just a just universal GReddy RS muffler. Hands down, most impressive sounding muffler I've ever heard

This will help... Stock headers, Berk HFCs, Motordyne Resonated XYZ pipe into venture210's Greddy RS muffler. Love the way this thing sounds!

How would you say it compares to the AAM Single in terms of:
volume, drone, and rasp?

More sound clips of this exhaust. All the car has in these videos is stock hr headers, OBX resonated test pipes, motordyne y-pipe, and my custom 3" exhaust with the GReddy RS muffler. NO rasp even with cheap a$$ test pipes lol

Thinking about making a couple more of these exhausts if anyone is interested

Post #210 has a video/sound clip ... it's excessively loud - which I'm not a fan of...

I balled out and decided to fabricate all I could afford to make... which is 3 lol

These are not openly for sale here on the forum because of forum rules. Just sharing my work is all. 1 is for a buddy here in town at the moment

If you are interested however, you'll have to PM me

Those are lovely. You should put them for sale on some of the Facebook group pages... Lots of the people on their suck but they do have a lot of traffic.

Thanks guys! I've been on the facebook pages a little no one seems to want to pull the trigger. One guy even said "I think I'm just gonna get the ISR single exit for 350"
