Default HR lower IM runner on DE?

Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone knows if the HR lower runners would fit on a de? I have a HR manifold with cable TBs already. I was going to build an adapter but if an hr runner can fit that would be great.

If I can get my buddy to let me borrow his old lower DE mani, I'll see if it fits and post it up

It may fit, it may not...It my sneaking suspicion that you'll lose efficiency when you go from circular to square intake runners...decreasing your intake flow and decreasing your power.

It would be much easier to install the HR intake manifold though.

How would you control the second throttle body, if you put this on a DE?

^ not the plenum...just the intake manifold...(or at least I hope the OP considered this!)

I'm a big fan of Link and I only know a little about vipec ...

I would say get the parts, start a build thread to document the work and give it a go!

Just being a pessimist and devil's advocate - but I think you'll run into problems with the hardware (including the TBs) working with each other and once it all does come together I don't think you'll see significant gains...but please prove me wrong - use me as motivation to get it done!

Wouldn't you want to run a HR plenum so the ports all line up. I would imagine the circle ports of the DE wouldn't line up well with the square ports of the HR manifold. Also you could flow a lot more air with two intakes instead of one.

Yes! The point is to run HR intake manifold so the ports line up. I'm going try and source HR lower runners and test fit.

I will run into problems but i'm going to try my best. I will need hr fuel rail and some other parts. I will make a build thread once i get all the parts.

You're going to have to make a custom intake with 1 throttle body and 1 maf or find a way to run to run two MAFS and two throttle bodys. On a DE harness

The g4+ has a internal map sensor. It replaces the oem ecu and you can turn off the dbw tb control.
