Default best way to fix small paint chips?

i know many people have had this problem, but recently i noticed some small chips on the front bumper and the front of the hood. i really want to do something about the hood b/c i dont want it to rust. whats the best method for fixing this? would touch-up paint be the best? whats the best method to apply it?

TIA

harv

the hood is made out of aluminum
the bumper is made out of plastic

Both will never rust

quarter panels you have to watch out for

Nismo sells a chip spot paint to match exactly the paint you have. It comes in a small applicator and you can apply yourself in minutes. I would reccomend getting a clear bra after you paint it.
