you keep your car at redline whenever you're in neutral at a stop sign/red light/just bored and sitting in your driveway?

Did you move your car a few feet one morning after turning it on, and then leaving the car to "warm up" for too long?

Hehe, sucks at math.

I think it flakes out when your regular odo is around 8k (and probably 16k, 24k, etc.), because either the memory overflows or some arithmetic operation wraps. You have to reset the computer by holding down one of the buttons for 3 seconds. The manual says how.

If that's not your problem, it might also flake due to the large value on the trip odo.

1.8 probably should be 18. (Mine said 1.7 instead of 17, if I remember.)

notice you live in pennsylvania. did you drive it at all over the winter and if so, did you let her sit and warm up before getting started in the morning. say for five or more minutes in the garage every morning. then that is what is causing it.

i did this over this past winter and my MPG went from 20 something all the way down to 3-4 MPG. just reset everything now that the winter has past, and you should be fine.

funny thing is i drove it in the winter, do not move it for just 5 feet, and have been driving it on a daily basis now for 30 miles.

i know how to reset it, just thought i'd share that the z sucks at math...must be that the thing craps out of memory at 3k miles...just funny

i drove mine too every day. in fact it is my only car, but the warming up every morning for just five minutes or so was enough to bring the gas mileage down.
