looks like nissan's got a lot of work ahead of them, i hope the tech who is gonna work on mine is skillful enough to tackle the job. There are lots of details involved during the re-install.

To much of a safety issue to pull out the "repost" stuff (which I usually participate in)

Thanks for the post; I missed it the first time around.

I wondered if I was the only one with extremely reluctant feelings after reading the details of the hose change.

There is no way in hell I would let the dealership do all of that voluntarily.

I would buy the hoses and do it myself if I had to. (hose was actually leaking)

Based on past experiences, I doubt they would give you the hoses free of charge unless you allowed them to perform the labor.

I would buy the hoses myself and install them myself before I would let the "kids" at the dealership tear this much off the car in order to get at the hoses.

I can just imagine how many areas will be left screwed up, not replaced properly, scratched up muffler, lose exhaust fittings, missing bolts, shaft not indexed and chipped/scratched, wiring ties ripped out of their holes and broken .....

There is way way too much to go wrong for people who don't normally go this deep into a Z. Easy jobs seem to challenge their skills. At best they would probably glance over these pics, read nothing and start tearing in with power tools:http://www.nissanhelp.com/Ownership/.../NTB06-014.htm

Thank you, NO - Nissan.

why is everyone on this site so obsessed with someone making a 'repost'??!!..if you read about the posted topic already, move on...not everyone that comes to the site, comes on a daily basis and may have missed the original...are people suppose to do a search (a function that has never worked for me) on their entire post before they "dare" submit a post??...the way I see it, people here seem to be annoyed that someone dare to repost, but are willing to then waste their time posting a reply of only "repost" and seldom will offer a link to the original post so that the "perpetrator" can become involved in the original thread...it seems to me that the repost haters are wasting more of their own time than they think the reposter is....anyway, sorry for the rant, but its been a long time comin'

as for the recall, I will be very hesitant to let my dealer touch that recall, after reading the fix, unless I see the leak myself. looks like way too much for them to screw up for a hose that "might" leak

Wonder If nissan can just bolt on a new exhaust when they do this for you?

A16. Did the muffler change or hose update in 1.5hrs? Getting the hose for 2.3 hours looks tight to me.

You don't have to be under warranty to get this done right?

I'm so pissed with Nissan Service. I wouldn't be surprised if they denied this service to me. I'm going to press them hard this time.

I like where it says. Preliminary Steps...

1. Record all radio station presets.
