Nice. It's a "voluntary recall" which at least makes me feel better about not going in right away.
Ford still sends me recall notices for 2 different vehicles we no longer own (and haven't owned for at least 4 years).

I'm worried guys. I have never been able to fill up my tank with more than 13-13.5 gallons max. I usually get about 300-325 miles a tank. I took my car to the dealership to see if I coud get my headlights changed because they have fogging inside and the service guy told me about the recall. I don't think I could trust the guys at the dealership to do that job. Do you think I should take the car in? The mileage and filling thing isn't a big deal, but it could be an underlying issue.

I wonder if alignment is necessary after the job.
They have to take out the whole rear wheel assembly to do it.
I would guess it needs alignment!?

just got my notice yesterday...man i don't know if i am gonna do it...i hate having the dealer touch my car

i acutally had the recall just done. Acutally it was done incidently when they were fixing my clutch failure. It them a total of 5 days to get the parts and fix both my clutch and the Recall (fuel pump). i didnt even know they did the recall until i picked up my car... guess i lucked out on this one.

really not a matter of "if it ain't broke don't fix it" because this could be serious. anyone remember the ford recall on their tires and how many people got killed in rollovers before they finally decided to do something. gotta give nissan a little credit here regarding safety...and looks like a lot of work to fix it so that can't be cheap. don't get me wrong...this really sucks for all owners effected by this and i totally understand the concerns about having the dealer practically tearing half your car apart.
