Default Bad MAF symptoms!?

which are the symtoms of a maf going south??
No CEL or anything..
the car when is warm and i turn it on the rpm go below 500 and jump back to 800 and stay there..could this be the maf?
after that i get normal idle

I saw on a thread that the PCV to the plenum could be disconnected..what is the pcv??

Also where can i get this part? can i purchase the sensor alone?

Yes i did search!

So when you turn the car on, rather than the idle staying high and coming down, it's dipping down to 500 and coming up? Can't really understand what you're describing.

What's the mileage on your car? No CEL means the ecu sees the maf as functioning properly, but it could be dirty. There is MAF cleaner at autoparts stores that you can use to spray on it. I would not consider replacement at this point, as the MAF may not be the issue.

yeah instead of the idle going high and then coming down slowly it drops below 300 until the point that the car almost turn off and then bump again to the normal idle range and stay there..this only happens when the car is warm..
car has 24k 2003..

But i think that the problem fixed..since im supercharged yesterday i removed the maf for cleaning and it was full of oil blowby..i took the sensor off and spray it with electronic cleaner aloing with the throttle body and the maf housing..now the car idles smoothly and dont have that problem again..
