Default Power window motor issue

Need to replace BOTH window motors on my '03 350Z.. Does anyone know if I have to pull the regulators to get to the motor? My 88 300zx was a pain had to pay someone to do it!! HHEEELLLPPP!!!

^ thats a great DIY, should have no problem. I did both sides without it, wish I would of known...

From another 03 Z owner, I can tell you this with certainty.

You CAN try and clean the motor as per the instructions in the link provided. However, you are simply delaying the inevitable. Even if you are successful in cleaning the motors, its a VERY short term solution.

My advice would be to follow the instructions on that page until the part where it says to clean - and at that point, you should replace.

The 350Z has a lot of shoddy parts. The rear hatch lifts, the ball joints, the window motors - hell, actually the entire window/motor/guides/pads - they are all subpar parts.

My advice: replace the motors, and while you are at it, replace the felt pad that is more than likely streaking up your window from the inside every time you roll it up and down.
