So, i'll just start off by saying that I have an 03' 350z with 50k mileage...
So I was at Best Buy to schedule to get an alarm installed. After I talked to one of the guys, I headed back to my car. I turned the key and I didn't start. I could hear that nothing was cranking. So I thought it might be the battery, so I had my friend charge me up and it still didn't work.
Then, I asked for one of the guys at Best Buy for help and they checked the wirings on the alarm. He also checked the voltage of the wirings and the battery. He said that everything was fine.
Afterwards, I reset the ECU and waited a few minutes, put it back on and nothing happened.
After that, we decided to do a push start and it FINALLY worked.
went home, turned it off, and it doesnt work again.
What do you guys think?
I wanted to ask if it was my starter that just gave up on me, because the 350z is not that old and it has 50k mileage

Um incorrect. If it is a bad battery then it won't turn over or will turn over really slow before nothing. If that is the original battery it's due for a change anyway. And I don't think I have read a single post concerning starter failure on a 350 yet, although I will admit I did not search. Get the battery tested, it's free.
just check for power and ground at the starter with the key on or if possible have someone hold the key in the start pos. and tap on the starter housing if it starts when you tap it the starter sol is bad.
Since you just got the alarm installed. Is it possible that the best buy guy did not do a good job in their wiring and somehow messed with the car's immobilizing system?
Thats what I thought too. If any problem just started after u did something, always chase back to what was being done first.
Have other alarm shop to check it out instead of the Best buy tech?
