Need to replace auto shifter assembly and seat slide motor... help!
Hey guys,
At the moment, I'm no longer able to unlock my shifter by pressing on the brake. I need to use the manual shift lock mechanism next to the shift in order to shift out of park. I took it to my mechanic and he says that the entire shifter assembly needs to be replaced (dealer price $514.21 + labor). I also am no longer to tilt or move my driver seat. He said that requires the entire slide motor to be replaced... (another $594.04 + labor).
Any good places to get these parts online? Am I out of luck on both issues and have to replace the entire shifter assembly and slide motor? Thanks in advance guys.

It sounds more like the selector lock solenoid (34970) needs to be replaced. See here:

They also have parts for the seat. I'd say it's unlikely that both motors would go bad at the same time, so I'd check the fuses, switches and wiring first. See section SE of the service manual, available here:
