I did however find Part No. G8VL-1A4T-RLDC12 which may or may not be the same since it appears the the former was produced for Nissan exclusively.

I had to stretch the truth and play like I'm an engineer about to place an order for 250 in order to get one sample sent out for $4.75.

Honestly I haven't driven it since that drive...been waiting until I had plenty of free time to work on it in case I did run into another problem. I did add half a quart of oil though.

And yeah I couldn't believe they told me I'd have to fork up $560 to replace a relay. Where's the logic?!

UPDATE:

Drove the car all over Atlanta this weekend and experienced no problems. AC ran fine even while sitting in traffic, no CEL, no nothing. I think the problem is fixed (famous last words?).

Thanks for everyone's help especially Dave

Relay popped in just fine and a/c runs perfectly without the compressor clicking oddly. Also did an oil & filter change (mobil 1) so I know the car is feeling good. The car ran fine during a 20 mile test run. I'll probably need to add some oil when it's cooled off and I can read properly.

If it acts up again, I believe the problem is more than likely going to be the cam sensor. If memory serves more correct, the dealer only replaced one of them because warranty work only covers faulty parts. If that turns out to be the case, I reckon it's an easy DIY. So for now, problem solved however I wouldn't be surprised if I continue this diary a day or week from now.
Hi stuffiuos , I am running to the same problem, i pulled the bad relay and swapped it with the AC relay that was next to it and the 2003 Altima started. now No AC in NJ , August i must mention, My Daughter was happy for one day only to enjoy the AC , but car wont start now. SOOOO can you help me with name ,# , email for the place where you got these Relay Switches, Thanx for your help.

Got rid of the car so rarely come back here. The part orders is as follows:

OMRON
G8VL-1A4T-R-L
2118D61

Google just the first two lines above and you'll get some healthy search results. I can't remember who I originally ordered them from. Also sent PM so you get a notification.
