i was at a total stop and i was rear ended other person dosent want to go threw the insurence it was a slow hit less then 5mph he thought i went but anyway car is 2008 350z coupe magnetic black does any one have an estimate to have this fixed i need a new bumper thx in advance
Yeah, I would have at least had a police report filed. It happened to me once, in a car I use to have. I was rear ended and the guy didn't want his insurance involved. He promised to pay, but never did.

+ infinity. get the insurance company(s) involved, or there's a good possibility you'll never see any $ from the other guy. Why would your premiums go up if you were sitting still and got hit? And, file a police report ASAP!
A. Your insurance wouldn't go up. So if you do file a claim, keep that in mind.
B. There is no way for us to know without inspecting the car, knowing the region, the bodyshop you use, etc etc.
ADVICE: Find a body shop you trust (or call your insurance company and ask which ones they recommend) and then get an estimate. If the kid wants to payout then, good. No worries. If, like in 99.9% of these cases, he was expecting to hand you $200 when the real damage is $1200, and you then have to file a claim, proceed accordingly with the company.
i had this happen too.. no big deal.. had some license issues at the time.. so i let it slide.. and the crash beam BEHIND the bumper is what now sucks.. it bent, just like its supposed to.. and you cant see that.. so my little tap ended up needing aloit of parts=
CALL POLICE NOW, explain the delay, make sure its in the report.. no ones going to jail here man.... and get w insurance.. you asked us, now please do this. We are helping you.. its good advice.

Go through the insurance company. Unless he gives you a couple grand in cash or let's you do lines off of his GF, then okay.
there is no damage except for the bumper itself the foam padding under is fine nothing bent car tracks stright and true just needs a new bumper im just looking for ideas getting qoutes tommarow i dont wanna go through the insurence its to much of a hassle

It's the same process as getting a bumper replaced at a body shop+a couple extra phone calls. Can't be that hard.
I would rather just have the cash from what im seeing the oem bumper with paint is expensive cheepest i found unpainted was just under 300, then with labor and paint its gonna be alot more im gonna go out and get qoutes tommarow, and if he donsent like them then we will go through the insurence and his will go up i told the kid it was gonna be alot he said what ever it is let him know he can get it so im thinking that i might add some money to it and come out with a chargerspeed rear worth 2 hours waiting for a cop 2 show up to take the report.
