Default Annoying wind sound

Hello ever since I took my car out of storage and put new rims and tires and also got a wheel alignment done. I have been hearing this wind sound especially when I'm going down hills. Is this a tire feathering problem?

Last I heard Nissan updated the alignment specs to get rid of tire feathering a long time ago.

Maybe it's an old alignment spec? No idea.

You'll have to explain the problem more. Was the car making the sound after it came out of storage, but BEFORE the new rims/alignment? Or was the car making the sound after both were done?

Feathering doesn't really sound like wind - it's more of a rumbling sound/similar to a bad wheel bearing - and you won't hear it until there is visible damage to your tires. Inspect them yourself, run your hand on the innermost tread.

The day the new wheels were put on the car it came out of storage so I don't know if it would have been making that sound before the new rims/alignment.

The sound is like a wind/whistling noise. I hear it when I am going down a hill or I am cruising at 50mph ish.

My friend says it could be wind from the side mirrors or antenna but I don't think this to be the case.

You definitely won't hear the antenna. It wasn't making the sound before being put in storage?

Not to my knowledge it wasn't.

“Wind noise” is an unfortunate choice of terms since readers will focus on the noise you hear with faulty weather stripping on the car’s windows. This isn’t the case here since you report: “The sound is like a wind/whistling noise. I hear it when I am going down a hill or I am cruising at 50mph-ish.”

Your problem description is similar to what owners report when they have a faulty tire. If in fact it is tire noise, it is definitely not the feathering problem experienced by some 350z owners many years ago. Noise from tire feathering is more noticeable at speed under 30 mph and is not more pronounced when going downhill.

Your problem points to a defective tire. If there is a defect such as faulty tread alignment or attachment, the noise is specific to certain speeds or roadway characteristics (surface, uphill/downhill, etc.).

Have your tires checked for defects.

I also had my 2 rear brake rotors changed and also 1 rear caliper changed because it seized up.
