Default Timing chain setup issues

Fellas,

I changed left head and when I put the timing back using marks on the sprockets my exhaust cam was set 180 degrees of an intake cam in contrast to the right head where I haven't touched the small (cam) chain has 90 degrees in between intake and exhaust.

To set up the timing chain I used marks on the sprockets, you can see it on the pics attached, in this particular position left head is 180deg off and right is 90 deg

Now my question is which marks should I use and if there is a guide on how to set up the timing, all I saw was using these marks on the exhaust and VTC cams and it doen't seem to be working

I would do it like the right side that you haven't touched.....90°. Set it up like that and roll it over by hand once or twice to ensure it's correct.
You see the colored link in picture 2? I believe that has to line up to the sprocket, which may get you there.

Be careful, it's hard for me to think this stuff over without having the car in front of me.

I realize that both heads should be 90 degrees off intake from exhaust. The only thing I don't get is why using the marks I don't get correct results?

thanks

Picture 2 shows the big chain is clearly not even close, but you have to get both heads to match before you do that anyway.

Which head is the right head and which is the left?....while sitting in the car or while looking at it from the front? Picture 2 shows the chain marked on two links, pic one shows it has one mark on the short chain. I have to assume the one mark lines up to the intake cam and the 2 marked links line up to the exhaust cam. If that's true then picture appears to be wrong.
