Default Window will not go up

Hello everyone, yesterday when I pulled in to my driveway i found out my window wouldn't go up. I was wondering what this could be. when I try to wind it up it does not make any sound it just does not go up. any idea of what went wrong here? I have an appointment with speedy glass tomorrow, unless its something I can fix on my own. I also just changed my battery about 3-4 days ago. maybe in relation to that? thank you

What year is your car? The drivers side window motor just went on my 08. Probably that. It seems like it's a common problem on the 350Z

Where your windows down when you replaced the battery.. if that's the case you might have to reset the window motors

I cosign that.

I think what that does is shake the carbon, or whatever the dust is caked up inside the electric motor, away enough to get a good electrical contact. If it works from this technique, search for a new motor and try to do it yourself.

Yes I also did this and it worked for me for the past few months, last week it finally gave out.

Your window motor finally gave out.. Mine did the same and would not go up. It used to when I hit the door but died eventually.

Just replace it yourself with an OEM one, the Cardone remanufactured ones suck.

You need a new window motor. You can clean your existing motor, but that is just a short term fix. --Spike

I ordered one from Oriley's Auto Parts for like $150 I think. It isn't that hard to install. Just need to get a buddy and find the write up.

I took my old motor in for core, and have the life time warranty.
Its a little tricky the first time, but if you ever have to replace it again you'll have it down.
