terrible belt squeal
belt squeals unbelievably loud at the start of the car and goes away completely about 10-15 seconds later but its extremely embarrassing. And if i turn on the AC it does not go away at all. What is wrong? what belt is it? does it need to be replaced or tightened or what? 05 350z with 75,000miles

More than likely it needs to be tightened. My VQ used to do the same thing on starts. Tightened up the tensioner and all was well.
There is a DIY on how to adjust your belts in the DIY section. I would start there.

Make sure not to over tighten the belts. You may have glazed your belt and I wouldn't want to see you compensate by over tightening. Probably its fine but just want to put the concept into your head. A new quality belt like a dayco or gator is worth its weight especially in those brutal WI winters.

Yup, a little loose.....Probably needs replacing anyway. It's super easy.
They have to be tighter than you think, but it's real easy to go too far.
If you have eyes on the end of your fingers you can do it from above.
