So, Nissan says my air filter is dirty. They said they were going to try to clean it or replace it (with what I'm not sure). I was going to swing by an auto parts store, buy one, and take it up there, but they only sell k&n filters at O'reilly... will a k&n work with my aem or should I just buy an aem one online and install it later?

dont have them replace it......

AEM makes the dry flow to compliment your aem intake

Lol... Noooooo (I wish!) the air filter is just an afterthought... they are in the processes of doing the timing chain right now, they just were "adding that in".

Don't let them add it in, they'll charge a killing for it. Tell them to **** off.

Got the car back from Nissan yesterday morning and sure enough it was the timing belt. They replaced the guides, tensioners, and chain... parts were $371.94 with a whopping $1417.26 for labor (fml). They gave me some"coupon discounts" to bring it down to the low, low price of $1573.86. Can't complain I guess though, at least they diagnosed it correctly and she's running like a top now. Thank you all for your help and advise.
