Default 350Z High Side AC Line

Gang,

One of my cold air intake clamps has worn a hole in the aluminum high side ac line (just below the intake pipe). I want to see if I can patch the line. Does anyone know what size that line is? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the input. I called a couple of local Nissan dealers and the lower price was $550 installed. I am looking to try to repair it with a coupler (one for a brake line maybe) but I need to know the size of the line to see if there is a coupler that will fit.

As far as replacing it myself, I traced the line through the brake compartment cover up through the firewall and figured it would be a beast to replace. One of the Nissan dealers I called told me that it would be $400 in labor (this was the higher price I got).

The line stops short of the firewall. Just get some tools to remove the ac lines and pop it off. Its a pain to get those off but its an easy job overall.

you CAN get a compression fitting for an ac line. Measure the width of the line and order the fitting

The high side is all outside the firewall so it should be easy to replace.

Since the system has been open for a while (leak) you'll want to replace the drier too. Get the parts, replace the line, wait till the day you go to have it recharged, swap the drier out, have them vacuum it down to check for leaks, then charge the system if all is good.

It wouldn't hurt to replace the oriface tube while you're in there.

My turbo burned a hole through the rubber line that goes near the drivers frame rail. I ordered a/c rubber tubing and used pex fittings with regular hose clamps to hold everything together. Has held for about 2 years now (previously I used an air compressor air line, but it bulged up and I removed it for a higher psi line.
