2nd gear
When changing from 1st to 2nd it a bit stiff seems to loosen up when warmed up is this normal. 06 z

because it is probably old and breaking down. fresh oil will make thing smooth out.
what year is your car, how many miles, how many previous owners of it do you know personally?

they say (whoever they is....) that fluids can start breaking down after 7 years, and if you are not the original owner you never know what if any fluids have been changed. i would also do the rear diff fluid while under there... just my .02

Redline MT-85 fluid. As trav said also change the diff fluid since you are already under there.
