Gauge Cluster Help
hey guys so i was doing an audio install on a customers 350z when i was done he asked me if i could remove something.
So basically the past owner of the car had put tape over the airbag light inside his dash and he wants to get it fixed. Ive taken clusters out before and know the process but I'm wondering if the needles need to be reset just to take the tape off the airbag light?
thanks in advanced for any help

Sorry, no help as I've never pulled apart one of my gauge clusters. Just wanted to respond and ask you to let the rest of us in on the answer after you complete this task.

The thing is that the past owner put a piece of electrical tape under the cluster on top of the air bag LED light so that it wouldn't show a light on the cluster. As far as fixing the airbag light I can do that but I can't take any procedures while having the tape on top of the light because I won't know if the airbag light is still on or not so I have to physically take apart the cluster to remove the electrical tape covering the light on the cluster but I don't know if I have too reset all the needles etc like you have to when you change out all the LED's if I take apart the cluster just to remove the piece of tape covering the airbag light
