Default driver side window malfunction....

Hey guys, thanks ahead of time.

My driver side window does:

1. Does Not go all the way up with one push
2. Does not go down unless I hold the button and shut the door
3. Does not "synch" shut when the door is closed to reduce wind noise

Also, when the window is going up it sounds like it is struggling to do so.

Is my motor going?
Easy fix or go to the dealer???

You don't say year or miles so
1) search "window reset/relearn"
2) if that fails take the motor apart and clean inside w CRC electronics cleaner.
3) if that fails replace motor and perform reset.

It's not hard, my cleanup has lasted 2 yrs. Do some homework, gl

As the brushes wear down they leave a carbon dust all over the inside. Kinda causes shorting/voltage drop on the armature. You gotta get that dust out. It's not hard, I would nvr pay for this repair. Take the door pull off then inside panel and you're there.

I did a little research and found some decent articles on motor replacement. I will buy a motor ahead of time so that if it is needed I will have it. Once I have done the repair I will post up. thanks

Yeah, I will more than likely just replace it once I strip down the door. I would rather do that than have to go back in there because a cleaning didn't do the trick
