Default Water stains on headliner, near rear hatch

I'm new here, I own a 08 touring SMB 350z, manual. And it is just above 47k miles. And it's all stock.

However I noticed today there are water stains on the rear part of the headliner, as if it leaked in somehow. Really odd placement. And I asked around if it looked like water damage. And everyone said yes, sadly.
I recently had someone run into the front end and it was in the shop for a week, so maybe it happened while in the shop. I'm not entirely sure if it was there when I bought it, since it's a odd location for the water damage to be.
I've owned the car for a little over a year and a half.
Any advice on how it may have happened or place's to check for potential leaks, would be appriciated.

It looks a lot darker in the photo

Might be the rear washer nozzle hose is leaking. Also, look at the weatherstrip, but it seems like gravity wouldn't allow that water source to get as far forward as the inside headliner.

You can fix the leak, and probably dye the headliner black to hide the stains.

Thanks @dcains, I speculated the rear washer hose as well. I'll look around in the daytime and see if I can find anything.

It has a little gasket seal around the bolts of the hatch but that does seem like an odd spot.. Their is also the rubber grommet for the wire loom that could be loose..(I know mine is)

But my first thought was that the washer hose was probably removed and stored in the headliner and someone used it at some point... Maybe the po had an aftermarket hatch...

Since you have a '08 Touring, I'd start by checking the weather stripping around the satellite antenna. It looks like the damage is exactly under where the cap sits and the holes are drilled into your roof.
