Default Trouble starting

For the past 2 Monday mornings my 2006 Z would not start and I don't think it is the battery. Last week the engine would not even turn so I jumped in my wife's car and went to work. After I got home I jumped in the car and it started right up. This morning when I tried to start it the engine turned once and stopped then the lights dimmed and went dark. When I tried to start it again I could hear a constant clicking sound inside the drivers door panel.

I park the car Friday when I get home after work and don't start it again until Monday for work. I don't know what the problem is so I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction. Thanks for the help.

Your description makes it sound like the battery is the most likely explanation. If it's older than 3-5 years, it's also a likely suspect. Have you checked the battery voltage (and connections) yet?

Default Battery

Thanks dkmura, I replaced the battery and it seems to have cured the problem.
