Default Differences in $19.99 ebay clock spring, vs $150 OEM Nissan

What major differences warrant a $130 price difference in these products? My horn, cruise, and steering wheel lights went out a while back, and I used a clock spring I found on ebay for $20 and everything has been fine for a few months. Now my lights blinking again, and it's the same code #12, or the driver airbag/spiral cable. Common sense says it's the shitty/cheap part I bought, but where did they cut corners, or what's better in the $150 Nissan one?

and yes I bought the oem one to replace it, general curiosity is the only thing that made me post this question

Post the link to the ebay one?

Chances are that the connectors/ soldering components are crap. After all that is what fails on OEM clock springs.
