Default engine noise oil light flickers 05 35th anv edition

ok so here we go my gf was driving the car about a week ago when she called me said the car stalled out on her at an intersection she got it to start and pulled it over to the side of the road and told me the temp gauge was in the hot.

i drive down to her and the car wont start i let it sit for a while it starts and runs fine but i parked it for about a week. i am gonna do a radiator flush and change the oil but i wanted to see if the car would get hot for me so we drove it last night for about 3 miles it was running great no issues what so ever so i stopped to pick up dinner got back in the car and it wouldn't start acted like it wasn't getting any fuel it would turn over sputter then shut off even if i hammered the gas peddle down it would just instantly die.
finally got it to start it sputtered a bit then idle climbed up i started driving very slow down back streets

oil pressure light kept flickering off and on(had the oil changed last month maybe 500 miles ago)
car felt like there was a misfire sputtering
and engine noise like the rattling sound you get when an engine gets too hot cept the temp gauge was never off normal

Im guessing failing oil pump but before i send it to a shop or a dealership id like any opinions or if anyone has had similar problems

also when i first got the car the oil pressure sending unit was bad pegged at 120psi replaced that and haven't had any issues with the car till now
just fyi

05 35th anniversary automatic with about 116k miles

so after doing some looking around i found that the radiator is cracked on top i don't know if this is the issue or something that happened because of the issue i'm hoping this is the problem i dont know why the car didnt show it was over heating as soon as i drove it around the block it started to over heat and radiator fluid was all over the engine bay (filled it up this morning) was very low or empty

this might of happened when my girlfriend drove the car i didnt notice any fluid leak when i went to pick her up when it broke down but maybe at that point it was all gone

There may be other engine damage depending on how badly your VQ was overheated. Replace the radiator and make sure you fill it correctly (do a search) to prevent problems down the road. Afterwards, get your ECM scanned to see if there are any lingering codes in memory.

that's the plan now. i am thinking Mishimoto but i have a few questions about replacing the radiator i don't go to the track or race the car i see all these radiators are for manual transmissions and there is an automatic transmission cooler is that something i have to have or can i just replace the radiator?

They sell radiator repair kits at autozone for like $12. It's an epoxy with fiberglass mat. I snapped the entire neck off the radiator on my kia amanti and put it back on with this stuff and it's been two weeks and a few hundred miles in 95degree weather and i'm confident it's a permanent fix. It dries faster than the 5 minutes it states, so you have to do it quick.

I'd be thinking about that every time I got into the car, and it would drive me nuts. This place has great radiators, and a lifetime warranty:

Fits 5AT or 6MT.
