Default Wheel bearing noise

Well, I believe my wheel bearing is bad. When I am driving I hear a constant light rotation sound, and when I turn right I hear a popping noise come from the front left, I also hear a squeaking noise when turning right.

So, is it possible for the wheel bearing to make a popping noise? (It's just a quick pop and doesn't do it unless turning right) and the rotation noise I initially thought was my brakes / rotors because they were in pretty bad shape, but I replaced and it has continued, so I don't believe that is the issue.

All my noises are when turning right and they all come from front left side. Is it likely it's just the wheel bearing or multiple things (I'm thinking possibly ball joint as well but what else?) I don't feel safe driving honestly because I know eventually it can go terribly wrong.

Before going any further, have you put the Z up on jack stands and pulled the LF wheel? A physical inspection will tell you a lot more than a bunch of guesses from behind keyboards.

Haven't gotten to do so yet. Just wondering about my question and wanting suggestions.

Well, you've got my suggestion: do a physical inspection FIRST before asking for speculation. Examine the rotating parts/suspension in detail and look for signs of abnormal wear.

Inspect the bearing, just raise the car up and spin that wheel with your hand on the front spring. If you feel any rumbling or roughness, replace the bearing. They do fail, not a big deal to replace either.

Haven't had chance to do so. Will do within the week.

Asking what could possibly be popping isn't a ridiculous question whether I've trouble shooted or not. Came to this site for help (which eventually I'll be able to help after some learning) and it's been very great and helpful but trying to be funny isn't always helpful. Cough cough. Threads like these have helped me in past with my issues upon searching and finding one. Not going to show my rear end.

Thanks and either way I appreciate responses.

not trying to be funny, cough cough. so what you are saying is that you don't have 10 minutes to jack up the car, spin the wheel and wiggle it..... gotcha

Maybe if you ask a few more times, one of us will see clearly in their crystal ball what's happening.

Lol, should've just gotten under car, and jacked up and inspected. I checked bearing, bad, also checked bushings and all seem fine except -

Wheel bearing noise-lcd1zj6.png

It is pushed forward and I'll assume that is the clunk / pop noise I hear when turning / braking (or a combination of bearing and that)

ball joint boot appears to be cracked open as well and leaking, looks like I'll need to replace -

Ball joint

Thanks for the replies.

Glad you found the problems. There are some good threads on how to replace those parts.
