Default Car will not hold idle when restarted

My 2003 350Z with VQ35DE engine will not hold idle after it runs for a bit and I do a restart. Note, if I push the gas pedal to the floor it will hold idle. I recently replaced my valve covers due to leaky spark plug tube seals. When I took off the throttle body as part of the valve cover job I did not unplug it. However, I did clean the throttle body which I probably should not have done. Also no SEL is on. The problem started after I completed the valve cover replacement job. Any assistance or advice is appreciated. This car has a 6 speed MT and has no aftermarket mods. Miles on the car 144,000.

Thanks,

Mark

2 mistakes. you should have disconnected it, and if you touched the butterfly valve you prob messed it up. buy a new tb, throw it on, do the relearn procedures and call it a day
