Possible P0442 solution? Pics inside
Hey guys,
So I have had the hardest time diagnosing my P0442 code (EVAP control system small leak detected) on my 2007 HR 350z.
I have changed out the fuel cap and know that is not the issue. One thing that I think might be the culprit is when I installed my aftermarket intakes, I accidentally broke off the piece of plastic that connects to the vacuum outlet of the intake pipe (note example picture)
According to the FSM, this piece is used to "The EVAP canister purge volume
control solenoid valve will then be opened to depressurize the EVAP purge line using intake manifold vacuum." I believe I currently have it either vented to atmosphere or taped. Regardless if this is problem and reason why the code is being thrown, I have no clue where I can get a replacement. I have been looking for it on http://www.courtesyparts.com/auto-pa...ine/engine-cat but have not had any luck.
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
