Funny thing, there's nothing at all done to the interior to make it that comfy. It just IS.

Is it an irrational thing to fall in love with a car every time one gets into it? Laff....

Oh, and got a piece of mail from my kid with a note inside saying... "Hey dad, found this as I was going through one of the boxes in the garage at mom's.... thought you'd want this. Love, B."

I shed a tear at his thoughtfulness.

That sticker is 37 years old...
To cross reference your "Shiro" thread, maybe you've solved your car problem. Forget the search and get reacquainted will this baby.

Oh, and to this "Is it an irrational thing to fall in love with a car every time one gets into it? Laff...." I say -NOPE! However, it might be irrational to look for another sweetie when the love of your life is sitting there waiting for ya

Even after a rough day when I hop in mine and fire er up, it puts a smile on my face and changes the mood

PS...like the beefy look, what's THAT setup?

So says the man with 7 vehicles in his .sig....

Guess I'm s'posed to do as you say, not as you do?

Uhhh, no.

Mike, let me clarify something..... I'm NEVER unaware of my priorities. The silver Z is my baby. Over every other car I own or have owned in the last 5 years since I've owned it. All other cars are diversions and hobbies. I liked and was proud of my Shiro, my two Nismos, etc etc.... but not one is my silver car. The car I'll be buried in.

"Beefy look"?

No worries, even my wife comes home from work yesterday and says, "Hi honey, how was your day, you buy another car?"

Z'matter o'fack... I've got a bid in on another car.... I know the bid is low but we'll see how it goes towards bid close. Not a "long-time-lust-after-car" (Shiro was that!) but one that will be fun to do up. There've been a few others that came/went but none as painful as losing out on the roadster. Dammit.

I have my regrets, sure. But I was feeling stagnant with the car and want the opportunity to try something else, or maybe even try being a one-car guy for a little while again. In the back of my mind, though, is an E92 M3 but I can't justify the expense just yet.

Travlee, haha - i'm just bugging. Springs coming and i'll be swamped. But until then "idle hands are the devil's playground"

Mic, I've updated my Sig - so i don't look like a hypocrite...
And sorry for the terminology. "Beefy" = tire and wheel size, offset, spacers...I said "THAT setup" because i'm thinking it might change daily haha

Loud and clear on the "baby" car thing. Mine was a '74 MG, had to let it go. Babies happened - it sat in the garage for two years shivering. In those days leaving the house without some "mini humans" was frowned on
Oh, and the mrs. never really liked it. "It's hot and smells like fumes and other yucky stuff" haha

Wish i still had it (haven't seen one as fine since) buuuut, I do like my A/C in my advanced years

Notice there's no hot rods in my sig? thought you might have called me out on that...

Just giving you your daily ration of humility, Mike. HAR! Some call it "givin' ya shid." Whatever ya call it, all in good fun.

When my kids were small chillens, we had - hell, honestly don't remember - but when they were 7-10ish, had Q45 then Benz E55 (during and following the dot.com boom dontchaknowit...

Then I moved out and had NO CAR for ~7 years. By choice. Well, had a couple of beaters while I was getting feet re-planted but nothing truly worth mentioning.... 740 Turbo wagon and some other Volvo. My first new car after that absence was my Z34N, then my trusty Z33 Silver.

On the tahr/whill thing.... wow, haven't changed 'em out in over a month!! Got two sets that still haven't touched pavement! Laff! But ya, really likin' the way my Volks came out after P/C so haven't had much truck to do anything.

They're pretty basic, 19x9.5 +19, 19x10.5 +12 effective (or maybe +14, can't recall exactly.... have to resort to my spreadsheet.) This set runs on 245/35 and 275/35.

Never been into LBCs but have several friends who ran the gamut from MGB to Lotus to Triumph to Jaguar; and I love all of them, just never felt comfortable enough to buy one with POD (Prince O'Darkness) electricals (AKA Lucas). Haha.

Actually Mik, British Leyland POD wasn't that bad - but i did get some second looks putting oil into the carbs at some Solo events haha (twin su's converted from the NASTY Zenith Stromberg)

Nothing unusual about that.... don't forget that 240 and 260Zs (not to mention Datsun roadsters) all used SU's. (Except for the car of my dreams, the '67 2000 roadster and other U-20 race motors, which used 40mm Solex carbs).

And there's people on here going, "Carbs? What does food got to do with any of this?"

Spec SS twin disk is installed. Just prepping for all the ponies in the near future.

Got tired of car shopping and finally got around to putting new rubber to the ground...

19x9.5 +22 255/35-19
19x10.5 +22 285/35-19
AME/Enkei TM-02

Was going to put the gold Enkei A-Is on but didn't feel like using spacers. Will most likely put those up for sale before I even mount 'em on the car.

No report on the tires (Kumho PS91s) yet. They're a ways off from break-in. Just drove 'em a couple laps around the block to check for any clearance issues. NPF. A few hundred more laps needed. Laff...

Minor observation: Seemingly high void ratio....

We shall see how this affects performance against my benchmark tires.

The gasser Bel Air will forever be cool for some reason. Had the chance to chat with the owner at the spot office. Had to grab a pic because the size makes the Z look like an rc car. When I got back in my car I could look over and look directly through his wheel well

Painted the valve cover on my daily Prelude. Needs a final buff and polish. Working on picking up a 5 speed swap for it. I've been trying to kill the auto trans in it for like 30k miles and it just won't die.
