Yeah it's one of those things that look better once installed and functioning. It's all about the VISION lol.

The supercharger really have us a lot of pushback, so I didn't get to color code everything I wanted. However, after seeing this new setup I have a few new color ideas as far as placement anyways

Videos!!! Don't mine the tape etc on the bumper, figuring out what I want to do to draw in more air to the FMIC.

"Parking Lights on." Reverse mounted XBLED's in the q45 projectors.

HID's clicked on. They are Morimoto 3Five bulbs at 6k. The foglights are also retrofitted with Morimoto Matchbox Mini H1's.

Makeshift signals since the factory ones were deleted with the quad setup.

So the D2S bulb setup was just not cutting the cake. With added material for the quad q45 setup, it was taking up more room than stock in the inner lenses.

Here you can see the D2S setup actually hitting the intercooler piping on the driver side.

Now switched to a D2H system and no more rubbing. Although the picture makes it look like it's hitting but it's not lol.

The passenger side wasn't as bad, but still a really tight fit with the back of the D2S bulb and the ABS.

Much more clearance switching to the D2H system.

Went ahead and switched to some 1 step colder spark plugs as well. As you can see from previous photos and videos...my garage is super small so I have the smallest selection of tools to work with which made swapping plugs a daunting task. 16 spark plugs in all...fun...

Q45's aren't known for their performance, but I will be posting an output shot up this week.

It looks like my photobucket bandwidth is finally back. It usually runs for about 2.5-3 weeks before it's used up for the month, but last month the bandwidth was gone within a week. Appreciate the love guys!

Anyways, a last minute call and the 300 was confirmed for Autocon Los Angeles, which was held at the Pomona Fairplex on 4/26.

I wanted to keep it simple this time without doing a thing outside of washing it and showing up since prepping for Spring Fest was really draining. Easy breezy right? Of course not!!!

On my way to the car wash my ESP and BAS lights were flickering like crazy and I could smell something coming from the motor. I opened up the hood to see if I could see what was going on before shutting it off. I find that there are sparks flying from the passenger side header!!!

Turns out although I did secure the engine harness leading to the alternator before, the local mechanic that "fixed" a dangling oil dip stick issue from a bad install, must have unsecured this section of the harness and forgot to put it back. The sparks created a nice hole in my Kook's headers, so now I have to get that fixed. It just seems like no matter how much I try, I can't shake the remnants of a bad install or anything related to it.

Here's the photo of the Kook's. We almost shut it down and not make the show although we had a VIP spot at the venue:

Size: 56.9 KB

Decided to wash it even though I was really irritated and just wanted to give myself the option of attending if I decided to do so:

Decided to keep my word and not let my buddy down and attend. Here we are at the DTM booth right next to Heavy Hitters:

Name: 9D97C813-BDCC-4782-955C-BBE76A06C51F_1.jpg

After a long day, I was wrapping things up and prepping to leave the venue in the middle of the hall, while most people were in front of the main stage to see who won awards for the show. I never filled out any paperwork nor was I trying to "compete."

Needless to say, I was shocked to hear my name called for 1st place in the domestic class for "Finest Domestic Build!" The best surprises are unexpected ones and made the heartache and effort to attending worth it.

Finally getting this header issue sorted out. It's ironic to me that fixing one issue lead to even a larger one.

I rolled up to Tradition AutoWerks in Bellflower, CA to do the work. While we had it on the lift, we decided to knockout the 09+ Getrag 3.06 upgrade at the same time!

Here I was having some fun upon roll up.

The rear pumpkin mounted with axles being placed. I picked up all of my supporting hardware from Erik at BFNY Performance in OH. Always a pleasure to speak with him. He's helped me so many times. I wish I could win the lotto so I could buy more stuff from him since he's such an amazing buddy.

Next up with the header fix will the installation of the Hotchkis front sway bar and FunkyCold steel belly pan.

Upon further inspection I was surprised on how laughably small the rear sway bar was. I initially mistaken we it as a hose. I also discovered that a lot of my rear suspension bushings are going bad, so I will need to upgrade them to some white lines.

So I went back to Tradition Autowerks and was pleased to see that the entire rear end was installed.

Here are some photos:

More of an underskirt shot to see how the axle shafts are also color matched.

With the good comes the bad. I for the life of me still don't understand how some installers can rush through jobs and miss or choose to overlook details that can really be detrimental down the road.

I was irritated once again to find a completely missing header bolt. Wtf really?

Here is the nice sized hole from the hot lead wire hitting the kooks header:

It's hard to tell on the photo, but where the flashlight is shining, the coating is all melted with live wire exposed which I secured once gain to make it to the shop. We plan to wrap it back up and secure this sucker down the right way:

Headers are back in with a lot of heat wrap protecting the random electrical wiring in the area.

Tradition Autowerks took it a step further and installed the Hotchkis Sway Bar and the Funkycold belly pan while it was on the lift.

Yes...I know I need front tires badly lol.

Found one of the Power Steering single pass units for a steal, so I test fitted it to see if I wanted to mount it on the bumper support or higher up. I think higher up is the winner to make room for the oil and tranny coolers in the future.

The factory horns have to be relocated or the mounting brackets will have to be modified for a tight fit. I'll just opt to relocate them to make room for a larger radiator down the road.

So it looks like I will be adding the Razors edge Motorsports front bumper support to shave a few pounds that I probably put back in Dynamat lol. Going to have it powdercoater by Baid Polish.
