Default Wire Tuck in progress

Edit: Update on 1-2-2016 on page 3 post 60. More cleanup https://my350z.com/forum/media-share...rogress-3.html
Edit: Update on 6-12-2015 on post 37. Man...my engine bay has changed a lot of colors and the wire tuck keeps progressing.

Not quite done, been a long 2 days

Reference to what the harness looked like before (not my car)

Before:

During:

More During...nearly done:

After.....

Conclusion:
Ton of work and I am not 100% satisfied with the result. Still want to hide some more hoses to make the look final. Engine bay has a lot going on VS a stock car with a wire tuck. Oil catch can, relocated coolant tank ect. Just glad the old ugly harness is gone.

need to tighten the Cosworth bolts and test fire the car tomorrow.

I have done braiding before. Where you do a special loop so many inches. That is very time consuming but looks good if done right.

Mil spec, not familiar with that.

Added more pics. Sorry for the orientation. Still looks like a mess but once the plenum is on it will all be hidden.

More pics added.

Yep, hairy white legs. my wife was asking me about the hairy arm body kit guy, i think she was hoping i wouldnt post that pic just in case someone would point it out...thanks man!

Next step will be the alternator/starter cable and the hoses for the catch can. 90 degree fittings should do the trick. I also need to literally clean the engine bay, take better pics. Iphone and lighting just not doing it.

looks good. i got a quick question for you. im doing the passenger side body harness and ive come across the crash sensor wire being to short. my research shows "do not splice". and seeing that you already did that tuck, did you run in to this problem? if so what did you do?

im thinking of just relocating the sensor.

Coolant pipe to remove 3 bungs and aluminum intake pipe to remove 1 bung. Coolant pipes are known to have issues, must be cleaned real well around the area to prevent leaking.

Did not run into that issue. Is the crash sensor wire anything special?

Hell, i spliced the maf. All it had was a twisted pair for the IAT probably(same as any of the pressure sensors) but people say not to splice it. Couldnt de-pin it.

Seems like it would be easy to get lost with all the wires.

slight teaser pick of what is to come:

Next wire project is to extend the oem o2 harness and relocate the oem upper o2 sensor to below and bring the haltech widebands up top. Also will have some wire work on the fan harness since i am replacing the oem shroud.
