Thanks guys. I'll probably get the spring isolators and the Turtle Wax black box this week and do as much as I can this weekend!

I'm not sure I agree with this but I find it interesting none the less.

I didn't change a thing on either one. That's what the KBB app has for private party sale for both with that mileage. I'm not sure what to make of it.

Well...I installed my lowering springs today...kind of. We (my brother and I) installed the rear ones and the rear camber kit no problem. We moved onto the fronts and installed the front right spring...in three hours. Decided it was way too much work and too late to try to get to the other one. I'll have the auto shop install the other one when they do the alignment tomorrow. I'm hoping I don't get raped in pricing. It was a nightmare. I would suggest that anyone doing lowering springs to have an auto shop do it for you. We also decided not to do the rear spring mount mod because I didn't get the energy solutions spring/coil isolator and we didn't want to cut the spring mount uneven or too much so we left it be so the rear still looks a bit out of whack since I'm running the square setup but I plan on getting 285/40/18s next yr when I get new tires so that will fix that. I'll post pics tomorrow.

We did have a spring compressor. It was hard. It took three times as long as you think it should. We are not experts. It was the first time any suspension parts had been touched. Some bolts took forever to pry loose. We also didn't have the best tools.

That's the biggest learning curve is knowing tools and having a good right up near by is a must!

Well, I was hoping they'd only charge $55 since that's 1/4 of the 220 they quoted me on install of springs for all four. They, instead, decided to charge me for and hour and a half of labor for installing it. $120 plus the alignment of $77 and I'm looking at $200 + tax. Sucks to suck.

Should have just done it yourself. Only had 1 more to do and would have saved you 120 bucks. Oh well though live and learn.

When I installed my coilovers I spent probably ~2 hours trying to figure out a way to wiggle the front driver side shock assembly out from the car, until I finally realized that I had to unbolt the spindle member from the upper A-arm and then the shock slid right out. As far as removing the spring from the shock, I found this to be relatively straight-forward with the use of two spring compressors attached to the spring at 180 degrees spacing. Crank crank one side, crank crank the other side, until eventually it's compressed enough to be wobbling around between the perches and therefore no longer loading the upper perch / hat, then hold the threaded rod stationary while breaking loose the nut and the hat comes right off.

Yeah. The problem was we started too late in the day. We didn't finish the third one until 9:30 p.m. and my brother has to be at work at 4:30 a.m. and he was so frustrated that he didn't even want to try to come back and work on it the next day or any day this week. Trust me, I wanted to just finish it today or this week but he insisted he was done and I couldn't do it myself. Oh well.

Got my car back today. Definitely looks better. There's still a fender gap in back since I didn't do the rear spring mount mod but like I said, I plan on getting bigger tires next yr because I'm having traction issues and I just think it looks better than having the square set up. I plan on getting 285/40/18s so hopefully that fills up the fender well in the back. If it doesn't I can do the spring mount mod then but for now this is how it's going to look.

Before and after pics (not the exact same spot in my driveway but close enough)

Opinions? Thoughts?

Dirty car alert! I'll post a photo of it once I get it cleaned but you get the idea.

It will take a weeek or two for the suspension to fully settle, it will go a bit lower once settled.Take another pic in a couple of weeks and you will see it dropped a litle more.

Thanks guys. I agree with what you said. It's already settled a little bit and looks pretty good to me. I know this pic is from far away but it shows how nice and low it is and I just like the pic.

It's been a long time since I last updated my thread, figured now was as good of time as any.

First things first, I am going to be a father.

I also made the decision to go back to school. I'm going back to K-State to get my Master's in education so I can teach what I went to school for the first time. Just my four summer classes set me back $5 grand. My fall classes are another $3 grand. So Sorry for the lack of updates. Been saving for school for a while!

Alright, back to the Z! I got some carbon fiber door handle covers to match my pillars! Found out I put one side on wrong. Oh well. Still looks good!

Then, I finally decided to get bigger tires to get rid of my rear wheel gap!

Then I decided to slap on some stickers for an extra 50hp!

Finally decided to get the paint corrected/professionally detailed. Wow is all I'm going to say. You can actually see the pearls in the paint now! It looks like a brand new car!

They even did my rims and tires! Looking beautiful!!!

On the way home, I treated myself to a new K&N drop-in filter!!!

I also picked up a headlight restoration kit and a Nismo shirt!!! I restored the headlights as soon as I got home (they were going to charge like 30-40 for a 10 minute restoration so I did it myself)

Next on my list is to get my brother to install a new o2 sensor I already ordered and have him roll my fenders. Definitely need to do that soon! I hate going out to his place because he lives on a gravel road but it needs to get done so after it rains I'll head down there since it will already be dirty. I want to enjoy the beauty of my car as clean as its been since I got it for a while!

After that, I am going to hydro dip my center console and interior pieces. I tried wrapping the center console...Did not work out well lol I also need a new clutch sometime and I'd like to get some Berk test pipes and a tune. After that, I will probably get an Ebay front lip and roush side skirts (hate all you want, I'm not spending a ton of money on something that's just going to get scraped up but I do want to look good). I would like to eventually either wrap my car or repaint it and then maybe I'll get a body kit. I still want a turbo or supercharger kit but who doesn't? Hope you enjoy my update!
