Default Redline's 350z Vert Progress Thread

Finally decided to take some time out and make myself a progress thread to show you guys how its come along. I lived in Amsterdam NY (close to albany) at the time when i purchased her on April 16th, 2010. I made a 8 hour trip to go get her. 2004 Redline 350z Roadster for $16300 which only had 24k miles on it never used in winter and babied by an older man named Robert. I have a picture of her the day i got her on a different computer ill have to try and find that some other time but anyways later that year my family decided to move to Puerto Rico. I ended up shipping her over on Dec. 15th 2010. (so long for all the freshly paved streets back in NY ) Since then I've done a few things to her:

open to any opinions and comments

Her stock form after arriving to PR.

First thing i did was get new wheels Vossen 085 20x9.5/10.5
i had no clue about offsets or wheels really at the time but i thought they looked good.

to explain why the bumper is cracked. one day after i got out class pulling into my driveway i was paying attention to my dogs (shitzu and a boxer about 6 months old) i parked the car inside the driveway and took the dogs out to pee. when i called them to come inside the shitzu wouldnt come in so as im going out to get him i see my Z rolling down my driveway. i ran towards it and thought about opening the door but thought to myself i had locked it so i got behind it and tried stopping it. it ended up pushing my back across the street and into my neighbors car. somehow i was able to get out of there with just 4 stitches behind my left ear. the front bumper cracked going down my driveway and the rear bumper along with the trunk lid were damaged a bit from hitting my neighbors car a suv which nothing happened to it.

and the crack in the trunk lid and bend in the rear bumper.

i wrapped my center console with some carbon fiber vinyl to hide all the scratches.

after searching for a few months to see which body kit to go with i finally decided to go with VIS nismo v2, nismo sides, and chargespeed rear. took her to a shop and had it back within a week i believe

Bought a RDX antenna

i really didnt have too much money at the time but the mod bug was driving me crazy so i looked around for some DIY things to do and decided to polish my plenum by hand. took me a couple of weeks on and off but i was able to finally get it done. after saving up some money i ended up ordering a jwt popcharger and a 5/16 plenum spacer.

after seeing how the plenum turned out i decided to finish it off and do the timing cover also.

next thing to finish off the engine bay for now was a rare jdm polished harness cover

ordered a nismo shift ****

JWT clutch/flywheel kit

new tints---35% upfront and 20% sides and rear

ordered some new wheels Varrstoen es 2.2.2 19x9.5/10.5 +12
wasnt planning on installing them till i got coilovers but someone bought my old wheels and was able to order some bc racing coilovers with both front and rear spc camber kits. also rolled my rear fenders.

how she currently sits for now...

im going to order some extended ones because im thinking of putting a 5mm spacer in the rear to try them out.
i tried it out once and liked how it looked but the lug nuts wouldnt tighten much.

dont really like the hardtop i saw for Z vert. personally i like the way the soft top looks.
even tho sometimes i see some other guys Zs on here any make me wish i had gotten a hardtop instead of a roadster.

i bought the vinyl at a local shop but you can find it on ebay for pretty cheap.

i like the way your kit flows. I don't normally like the roadsters but yours w the top down and that cspeed rear looks awesome. Nice work man.

Also, is that a factory exhaust? Thanks.

thanks, the fitment overall was on point! when the body shop first saw it thought it wasnt going to be that great but after they tested all the pieces they were shocked how great everything was. i cant remember were they had to fix a couple things exactly but the fitment wise it was about a 9/10

BTW theres no better sight then walking up to your car with a chargespeed rear. pictures really dont do it justice lol

after having 20% on the sides for months now suddenly ive been pulled over twice in three days (Tuesday and again Wednesday) road blocks weekly in my city which were driving me nuts =( so i decided to take them off after the second time with in 24 hrs period to avoid the ticket. i quickly went to get new tints 40% now on the sides but still haven't been able to get the new pic of them cause of the rain but ill post one up when i can.
