Default feeling a bit nostalgic after finding some really old files

I was going through my hundreds of photos and videos from when I first got the Z. I was surprised to find a video of my Z on a dyno, and I have the sheets. I smiled when I found other photos of some meets, car shows, and cruises, so I thought I'd share.

First up is the dyno vid. I matched the sheet to this video which showed my Z getting about 243whp. I think I was disappointed at the time.

For some reason, I can't upload that dyno map file. Technology owns me.

Anyway, my first dyno ever in this Z was in the dead of winter. I think it was below freezing outside at the time.

First big car show. I couldn't resist, even though my car was pretty stock at the time.

I believe this was when I decided to have Mike powdercoat my calipers, so I started taking all kinds of things apart. I also added my Helix test pipes.

I'm not going to post my awful front lip that I got for the OEM bumper. Let's just say that I looked at the photos and shook my head wondering what I was thinking.

However, I was pretty stoked when I finally got my wheels. I've stuck with these wheels ever since.

Then I got the Nismo V2 bumper and really liked how it turned out, which meant I had to show off....

After "kissing" a shredded truck tire on the freeway late at night, I decided to try a different color scheme with the next Nismo bumper.

And finally, my current look with the CF overlay on the bottom.

That photo where the girl is sitting on the girl in front of hooters has me confused. Is she just sitting on her or is there something in between? I can't tell if its the background or not. By the way, nice Z. I liked it better with more black on the front bumper. Also, why no side skirts or rear add ons? Looks funky with only a front bumper. What power adders do you have?

The girl in the green is kind of sitting on top of the brunette, and she has her right leg holding her up. I guess that leg is hidden.

I almost got side skirts but decided that it was just too much money to paint and would detract from my attempt at having flush wheels. I'm still looking around for rear add ons. But every time I see pics of a rear diffuser, I want one of those badly.

As for mods, I've got the following:

Crawford plenum
JWT intake
TopSpeed resonated TP
HKS replica exhaust
Z1 Motorsports mild clutch and lightweight FW
braided brake lines
Motul DOT 4 fluid
Hotchkis sways and springs

I think I'm missing something, but those are the ones that come to mind.

Nice! I think I like V1 paint scheme better. Those white supports just look funny.

I hope that guy in the Hooters pic didn't rape you. He looks suspect.

Thanks, guys. It sure is fun going through old photos and remembering the mod bug hitting each year. I'm going to find some more photos and post them up.

I finally got around to salvaging an old hard drive from waaaay back. Had to get a special box to hook up this old drive and preview it. I was looking for photos of my first son from when he was a baby and found them. Yay!

Then I found some old pics of my 300ZX. I've also got some actual 35mm pics that I need to scan.

Enjoy!
