I'll be by Naples when I stop spending $$$ on building the car, and instead attend a test and tune session at gulf-cost autox! As for the paint work itself, it is very doable but is also very tedious and time consuming as you can imagine. Thanks for the kind words!

Harness bar came in! I opted for no finish (bare metal) so that I could paint it to match the rest of the interior. So here is what it looked like AFTER I sanded it down throughly and wiped it off with degreaser.

I test fitted it to make sure everything bolted up nicely, and thankfully it did!

Yep doing this... Thanks again. Not looking in here after this

And hey if you plan on doing the Gulf-coast weekend. Stay at my place. No need for a hotel or get up at 5am...

That is really generous of you Chris, thanks! It would be nice to attend the autox with a fellow PPW Z owner! Got to find the time and make it happen.

Today I set up a sweet makeshift paint booth and got the harness bar painted to match the rest of the interior.

man that really looks sick!!! i would really love to do the same thing to mine...but i'm a bit worried about doing it....so i'll prob. leave it as is. but yours really looks awesome! what type of harness bar is that again? been playing with the thought about getting at least one of those ....how's the fitment? do you have to modify anything on the car, or is it just straight bolt on?

Thanks XM1! Just type 350Z K-bar into google and the bar will come up. It is a straight bolt-in install. The install instructions say that you must remove the seatbelt extension arms which is the only draw back (and a small one at that). Hope that helps! Thanks for the kind words!

Harness bar is painted and installed! Don't be fooled by the fact that it only takes four bolts to tie this bar down. Although straightforward, the install requires a bit of fineness. I made a few adjustments/modifications in order to keep the OE seatbelt extender arms, as I wanted to keep a OE factory look. A BIG thanks to the girl in my life for giving me a helping hand. This is definitely a two person job!

Only a few things left to finish. I have to make the cubby covers out of aluminum and coat them black, and of course buy/install the harness .

Well, I put the final touches on the cubby covers today and installed them. I’m really pleased with how they turned out.
