Default meanz's progress thread

Figured I would start one of these.

This is the day I picked it up. was missing engine, trans, driveshaft, and most of the interior.

Installed an engine I found off craigslist out of an auto g35. Vortech not installed yet due to waiting on vortech to ship it back to me after the si upgrage.

Finally got it back and installed.

Next was to tackle the interior. Most of the dash was missing, thus the reason for the 2 toned. Also didn't have seats, so I installed some megan racing seats which fit like garbage and eventually ended up pulling them for stock leathers

Got it back together and took her for spin around the block. This was right before I went to Afghanistan. I had the car towed to CIN Motorsports for a tune and to go over everything to make sure nothing was missed.

Z put down 436/404 while using a BLV to dial down the boost to 11psi. Only got to drive it 1 time due to flying back overseas. While over there, decided to go ahead and build the engine.

They then asked if I wanted to do anything with the engine bay or anything. I told them to do what ever they wanted. This is what I got.

They also helped out with a better and bigger intercooler, redid all my piping to larger diameter, changed up and upgraded all my pullies on the vortech bracket.

Also scored some Stance GR+ pros coils off the marketplace, along with some hotchkis sways and SPL endlinks.

Car started to act up a bit..had a short in my main engine harness and was still waiting on my 255 twin pump from cjm. Bobby drove to Greenville to pick up the z.

While retuning, found out the engine had a couple of cracks in the cylinders. Still pulled hard and making the same numbers. So back to pulling the engine again and rebuild..

While at CIN decided to do a few things to the z while I could. First up was a legit set of wheels.

Sold the rotas and picked these up. 9.5F 255 and 10.5R285, love how these came out.

Also with so much free time, decided to pull out the dash and door panels to swap them for some black ones.

Decided to get my buddy Taywan to shave, repair, and paint my v2 front bumper for me. He did a great job at matching the pearl/flake.

He also painted my center console after I sanded it down and hydro dipped the gauges and cubby door in carbon fiber myself. Also added a black nismo ****. Don't have a pic installed but It looks great and matches my exterior 100%.

I love how the car looks now all except for the wing, but I've never been a fan of the v1. Nice job!
